AI is revolutionising the way businesses create content – but if you’re not getting the results you expected, you’re not alone. The truth is, AI without HI (Human Intelligence) is useless. Trust me, I’ve used it plenty… Simply asking AI to write your product descriptions or landing page copy won’t automatically translate into sales. The magic happens when you know how to program your AI with the right prompts – combining human insight with machine efficiency. In this article, I’ve shared a video on how to rewrite your product page with the help of AI, so you can generate more sales. I’ve even shared the prompts, so you can program your AI to think and write like a marketing pro. But before you go ahead and start writing, let me unpack the problem you’re probably facing in more detail.

Why Using AI Alone Won’t Translate Into More Sales

If you simply ask AI – “Write my landing page copy to sell product X” – the copy is going to be generic… Why? Because AI tools scan the web and just rewrite what’s already out there. Yes, it will bang out a landing page in a matter of seconds – which will save you loads of time. But will it get results… no. To really get the AI to write killer sales page copy, you need to get it to think like a marketer who understands the techniques to selling over the web. One of those techniques is selling through problem-solving. Problem-solving is one of the oldest tricks in the marketing playbook. Identify the problem your prospect is dealing with and then position your product as the ultimate solution. But before you race off to ChatGPT and ask it to rewrite your landing page to focus on the problems your product solves… Let’s go one step further. Identifying the problems your customer is dealing with and mirroring them back is step 1. It’s how you’re going to get their attention. But to sell, you need to persuade. And persuasion happens through getting your prospect to feel emotion. So, the secret here is identifying how that problem makes the customer feel – and mirroring that on your landing page.

    Example:

    • Problem: Hair thinning
    • That’s surface level.
    • Emotion: Self-confidence
    • Mirroring that emotion: Rejecting invites to social events because hair thinning has lowered your self-confidence?

It’s this level of selling that we need to train our AI to generate results. I’ll show you exactly how to do this in the video below:

5 AI Prompts to Rewrite Your Product Page Copy (and Generate More Sales)

Use these prompts step-by-step to guide your AI to produce copy that resonates with your customers.

    1. What’s Your Customer’s Pain Point?

Prompt: List 3-5 common frustrations customers experience when shopping for [your product], and describe how your product solves each one. 👉 Pro Tip: Go one step further – ask your AI to describe how each pain point makes the customer feel. Does it cause embarrassment, anxiety, or frustration? Example for Hair Concealer Products:

    • Pain Point: Visible scalp under bright lights
    • Feeling: Self-consciousness, avoiding social gatherings, always wearing hats

    2. Speak Your Customer’s Language

Prompt: Rewrite this product description using everyday, casual language – as if you’re explaining the product to a friend who’s struggling with [problem]. Why It Works: Your audience is more likely to connect with conversational language than stiff, overly polished copy.

    3. Highlight the Benefits, Not Just the Features

Prompt: Turn every feature of [your product] into a benefit by answering the question: How does this make the customer’s life better? Example: Instead of “Water-resistant formula,” say “Stay confident all day, even through rain or workouts.”

    4. Overcome Objections Before They Arise

Prompt: List the top 3 reasons a customer might hesitate to buy [your product], and write a persuasive paragraph that addresses each one – using social proof, guarantees, or product facts. Example: Worried it will look fake? Our hair fibres are made from 100% natural keratin, blending seamlessly with your own hair.

    5. Create a Call to Action That Sells

Prompt: Write 3 versions of a call-to-action for [your product] that focus on:*

    • Urgency
    • Risk-Free Purchase
    • Solving the Customer’s Pain Point*

Example: “Ready to feel confident again? Try Biothik Fibres risk-free today – and see thicker hair in seconds.”
